The bones of these moose and elks are founded in the areas of Ireland in most abundant quantity and they were also seen in England, France and Germany.

The greatest collection which was founded and believed to be about 1,000,000 BC year old is now a day placed in the National Museum of Dublin.

The antlers of the male moose or elk (as said in Europe) is same like the modern day elk and they were about 3.5 meter in span and about a 100 lbs in weight and similar with the female moose, the female moose of that time also do not have antlers. Scientists also believe that the most giant moose were in Siberia those times but they moved to west because of the extreme changes in the weather.

The “Stag Moose”

One another popular type of moose is stag. It is not actually a pure type of moose but it’s a cross of an elk and moose. The stag moose have the antlers very complex one and they are of palmate shaped. They are called palmate antlers as they are shape of the palm of a human hand.

Stag moose is mostly founded in areas of Native America and this type of moose is preferred to be same as the modern times moose. The bogs and bones collected by scientists were believed to old as 10,000 of years ago.

The animal moose is believed to be the oldest creatures on the earth and it also makes us believe that this earth is older than our thoughts.
